I need to create a time line that is from 30 AD to 553 AD. It will not let me
post dates prior to 1900.

Unfortunately the timeline tool get's it is date ability from the operating
system, which is limited to the early 1900's. So you will have to do something
without the using the date functionality.

You will have to use the text field instead of the date field to get dates
prior to 1900.

Entering early dates such as 3100 B.C. Visio How do I start the timeline at 3100 BC ? It will not accept any year before 1899. Visio Discussions Timeline (1) Year (1) Sorry, the timeline uses the OS dates and the earliest date is around 1900 slightly after 3100BC. You could enter the dates as text, by selecting the timeline, do Open Group ( last item on the Edit menu) selecting the date text and overtyping keywords: Entering, early, dates, such, as, 3100, B.C. description: How do I start the timeline at 3100 BC It will not accept any year before 1899.?
how to set date before 1900 in timeline? Visio I am trying to make a timeline from 1700 to 2000 with 50 year intervals? is their a better way than Visio? Visio General Discussions Visio 2007 (1) COBITDEPT (1) Timeline (1) Year (1) Actually this solution is tied to the operating system. In its normal working state with Visio 2007. I guess you could choose not to show the dates on the timeline then add your own text box displaying the desired dates. But this will make the interval objects useless because they are tied into the timeline actual dates. James W. What an amazing shortcoming. Has there been any talk of trying to fix this in some way? keywords: how, to, set, date, before, 1900, in, timeline? description: I am trying to make a timeline from 1700 to 2000 with 50 year
